About Us

Our core belief is that people and companies cannot realize their capacity unless they are given optimal support.
Lambent is a boutique assistant agency that focuses on high-end support – Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, and related domestic and corporate roles. Founded in 2006, we pioneered the Hourly Personal Assistant for clients who wanted a dedicated person to help them on a part-time basis. Since then, we have added recruitment for full-time hires and corporate staffing. We bring customized solutions for those looking for the right assistant with respect to pay structure, assignment length, and quality of fit.
Perfect support, our paramount objective, is not flawless performance by the principal or the assistant. It is a match which promotes each person’s ability to work at their highest register within that relationship. Everything we do in our company is evaluated in terms of the quality of support provided – to each other as we work, for our clients during the stressful time of making a new hire, and in our evaluation of best candidate matches for clients.
Support is strength built into a structure that allows it to function and endure. Working with us means getting help not only on the surface; it’s built into the fabric of our practice and our mission. We will do our very best for you to get what you need, at every step. We are there for you when things work out and when there are roadblocks. We use developed best practices – thoughtful questions, time-saving methods, and a great deal of work behind the scenes. Lambent provides perfect support: help that yields the best possible outcome.

FAQs
Candidate Vetting & Experience
-
Candidates are initially reviewed by Lambent's recruitment team—never by AI. Each candidate is assessed based on education, work history, demonstrated skill set, and the professionalism reflected in their resume formatting, grammar, and spelling. Selected candidates are then invited to participate in an in-depth interview to further evaluate their capabilities and experience. Personality traits are also carefully considered to ensure an optimal match with the client. Once a candidate is selected, Lambent conducts a background check and obtains three professional references from former employers.
-
All assistants placed by Lambent are college graduates. Most have between two and ten years of experience in assistant roles. However, Lambent also considers candidates with relevant experience from other industries—such as consulting, business development, hospitality, and startups—if their background aligns with a client’s specific needs.
-
Yes. All assistants placed through Lambent receive clear guidance on the importance of confidentiality and discretion. As individuals who may work closely with high-level executives, assistants are often exposed to sensitive personal, financial, and business information. Every part-time assistant employed through Lambent signs an agreement that includes a confidentiality clause, and many also sign additional client-specific NDAs. For clients who hire assistants directly, Lambent can assist in securing appropriate contractual protections.
Placement Process
-
For part-time assistant roles, clients typically receive candidate options within 2–7 days following contract execution. For full-time placements, candidate review generally begins within 7–10 days. The complete full-time hiring process typically requires 3–5 weeks.
-
Yes. Clients are encouraged to meet multiple candidates to ensure the best possible fit. Lambent provides a curated selection of candidates to streamline the interview process and reduce the burden on the client.
-
The process begins with a consultation to discuss the client’s needs, including required skills, responsibilities, and preferred personality traits. Based on this information, Lambent delivers comprehensive candidate profiles that align closely with the client’s criteria. The client then selects which candidates to interview and ultimately decides whom to move forward with. If no candidates meet expectations, feedback is collected and a new round of candidates is provided.
-
Yes. Lambent offers flexible placement options. Clients may engage an assistant on a temp-to-perm basis—paying through Lambent initially with a markup, and later converting to a direct hire by paying a prorated placement fee. Trial placements, such as a paid two-week test period, can also be arranged on a case-by-case basis to ensure compatibility.
Fees & Compensation
-
For direct hires, Lambent charges 20% of the assistant’s first-year salary for full-time placements and 25% for part-time placements. For fractional or low-hour commitments (typically 8–16 hours per week), Lambent charges $75 per hour on an all-inclusive basis, with payment handled directly through Lambent.
-
Yes. For direct hires, Lambent offers a 90-day replacement guarantee. For fractional assistants, replacements can be made at any time upon request.
-
Assistants hired directly are paid by the client. Fractional and temporary assistants are paid by Lambent.

Privacy & Legal

Lambent does not bond assistants, as bonds are specific to individual employees and work contexts, which is not feasible under the current placement model.
