Jill Glist

President

Jill Glist founded Lambent Services in 2006 and participates in all aspects of its functioning. She hires and manages office staff; interviews assistant candidates; designs recruitment strategies; and supervises client/assistant relations. Jill also directs placements for family offices and C-level principals. She graduated with a BA from Yale College in Literature and a MA from NYU in Clinical Psychology.

Past experience includes working as an individual and family therapist at the NYU Psychology Clinic, a researcher at the Yale Psychiatric Institute and Queens Hospital Center, and a caseworker at Covenant House. For eight years, Jill served on the board of the Rappaport Charitable Foundation, where she learned best practices for family philanthropy.

Jill’s background enables her to identify factors that promote the success of working relationships, with particular attention to how personality affects outcome. This is reflected in Lambent Services’ focus on providing clients with what they want with respect to both skills and character.

Jill started the company after appreciating how much her life was improved by the hours spent with her own part-time assistants, Lena and Marisa.

john fitzgerald

director of client relations

John Fitzgerald partners with our clients to assess their hiring needs and works with them to obtain the best talent to match their requirements. He manages the company's client services for full-time and temporary staffing, and is instrumental in the recruitment process. Additionally, John identifies business development opportunities and advises on corporate strategy and planning.

Prior to joining Lambent Services, John was a recruiter at EDP World / Hyatt Leader, specializing in senior-level technology staffing for the financial sector, as well as in retained executive search for major investment banking and private equity clients. His experience also includes account management for a national outplacement and career development firm, where he oversaw the firm's major accounts in the publishing and media sectors, including Time Inc., HarperCollins, Scholastic, and Oxford University Press. Prior to this, John was a writer for a New York marketing firm where he collaborated on branding initiatives for luxury automotive clients, including Volvo and Mercedes Benz.

Admitted to the New York Bar, he holds a JD from New York Law School and interned in two New York City District Attorney's offices, where he wrote numerous criminal appellate briefs that upheld multiple convictions obtained at trial, and has also practiced commercial litigation. He received his BA in English and Government from New York University.

A native of Manhattan, John grew up across the country and for college returned to New York, where he has lived ever since. When not in the office, he enjoys writing, taking walks along the Hudson, and visiting neighborhood bookshops.


katharyn henson

assistant relations

Katharyn Henson identifies prospective candidates, interviews, and maintains Lambent Services’ database of Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, House Managers, Chefs, and Family Office personnel. Katharyn also oversees the daily operations of our office and temporary staffing department, which includes coordination between the associated employees and corporate affiliates, and conducting our temp staff payroll. She values a good attitude and clear, thoughtful communication in conjunction with a streamlined work environment.

Katharyn graduated from The New School where she concentrated in Non-Fiction. Every night, Katharyn makes all of New York City laugh performing as a stand-up comedian. She can be seen regularly in venues including but not limited to Broadway Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway, and The Grisly Pear Comedy Club. She hosts "Swing the Mood," a bi-weekly music radio talk show on Stationhead and is the co-host of "The Monthly Period" podcast with fellow comedian, Christy Miller.

Whitney Larkin

marketing

Whitney Larkin recently joined Lambent Services in a marketing capacity to curate and create social media content for the company. After 14 years in New York, she considers herself a New Yorker and is a consummate consumer of culture. She can be found outside of work at contemporary art fairs and gallery openings or on the tennis courts of Central Park. An avid traveler, Whitney is always looking for her next adventure.


Whitney has worked in fashion design, political opposition research, non-profit leadership, contemporary art, public relations, real estate, and social media. She graduated from Emory University and Parson’s School of Design at The New School.

shaun Cott

finance

Shaun Cott handles all of the company’s finances: processing timesheets, invoicing, bill-pay, budgeting, and year-end financial summaries. Shaun is a freelance bookkeeper/financial administrator for many small businesses that have included summer camps, golf course construction, lawyers, advertising agencies, non-profits, and film production. She continues to work with several clients in this capacity.

Shaun holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University. She enjoys all that NYC has to offer, especially the theatre, and performs on-stage and on-camera whenever possible.
